New Sunset Grille
New Disc Golf Course
Challenge the mountain this summer on our new 9-Hole Disc Golf course showcasing our area’s unique geological beauty. Whether you are an experienced player looking to hone your skills or a novice just picking up the sport, our course offers challenges for all levels.
Course Fee: $3 (House Guests Free)
Rental Discs: $5 (Driver, Mid-Range, & Putter)
*To rent a guest must present a valid drivers license, a Chestnut Mountain room key, or a $15 deposit. There is a $5 charge for each lost disc.
Mississippi Explorer Cruises
Galena, IL - Join us portside this summer at Chestnut Mountain Resort and jump aboard the Mississippi Explorer for the experience of a lifetime. Enjoy the magical splendor of the mighty Mississippi River much like Marquette, Joliet, and other early explorers. This 1 1/2 hour expedition cruise offers explorers of all ages an in-depth exploration of the Mississippi River's ecosystem. Just sit back and relax as your knowledgeable Captain shares yarns of river lore & safely navigates through meandering channels and endless backwaters. Magnificent scenery, abundant wildlife, waterfowl and bald eagles welcome you around every bend. Make sure to bring your binoculars and camera!
