Every June, the Galena-Jo Daviess County Historical Society honors the lives and contributions of past Galenians with its annual Cemetery Walk. Walk from headstone to headstone and be met by local performers who portray select individuals buried in Galena’s Greenwood Cemetery and recount key episodes of their lives.
“The Cemetery Walk is a very personal way for Galenians to celebrate our town’s past,” says Ronn Toebaas, Galena-based writer and director. “Combining the talents of our great assortment of local performers with the stories to past Galenians who lived rich, enthralling lives results in memorable presentations.”
