Group Lesson Rates & Times
For the first-time skier and rider, group lessons will focus on fundamentals from boot work, to your first turns, to learning how to stop. Skiers and snowboarders alike, who have never experienced the thrill of snowsports, will benefit from this program. Note, THIS IS FOR BEGINNERS! Our CMR certified instructors will teach new skiers and riders basic techniques on both disciplines with the main objective being exploring easier terrain, skier/rider safety, and having a blast! Riders who’ve taken a beginning and/or group lesson should look to private lessons to improve their skills and the more interesting and challenging terrain at Chestnut Mountain Resort. Please make sure you specify which discipline you are signing up for, and have a great time trying an amazing new sport! - You must sign up for a specific time!
Group lessons are $45/hour. Lesson times: 9:30 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm & *6 pm. It is recommended that you sign up for your group lessons online. Walk-up lessons may be available day-of, but are not guaranteed!
Lesson times may change depending on hours of operation. Visit Hours of Operations to see the daily slope hours
* No 6 pm lessons on Sundays except for Sundays that fall before a Monday holiday. Special 6 pm Sunday lessons on January 18, 2026 & February 15, 2026
Private Lessons
Ready to take the next step? Try a private lesson with one of our PSIA/AASI certified instructors! Private lessons guarantee you the individual experience you deserve. Our certified instructors are trained in beginning through advanced lessons including steps, bumps, freestyle, race, and anything you can imagine! Even if it is your first time on the slopes, a private lesson assures you one-on-one instruction with your Ski/Snowboard pro. Private lessons are for anyone 4 & older and is the best way to assure your quickest way toward mountain mastery!

Private and Semi-Private Lesson Rates:
Private lessons start on the hour and are 50 minutes long. Semi-Private Lessons must be of similar ages and ability levels. Limit of four people per semi-private lesson.
