Join us at Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois as we host Andy Parry and the Tell A Friend Tour (TAFT). Not familiar with TAFT? You should be! TAFT is a park tour that travels to ski resorts to film and ski with fans, then hold a free raffle and pizza party.
The third leg of the tour will kick off the weekend of February 4th and 5th and we want everyone to join us for the fun. New to the tour is a competition element that is open to all ages with $2,000 in prize money awarded!
Overview of the Competition
All entrants will take part in the morning session, judged by the TAFT pros, focusing on trick and feature challenges. Every mini-event will be different and each one will end with a cash prize. Then, at lunch, cash winnings are counted and the top earners will progress to a final showdown on a selected feature or set of features. Final winners will be announced and the rest of the cash will be awarded respectively.

During the day, the TAFT crew from Newschoolers will be in the park calling out tricks, starting mini-rail jams and giving out cash.
9:00 am to 10:00 am – Registration / Check-In
10:30 am – Skier meeting / rules
10:45 am to 2:15 pm – Ski, lunch and money given out
2:15 pm to 3:00 pm – Final Jam
3:15 pm to 4:00 pm – Standouts and Thank you!
Yes, there are some rules
- Each participant must wear a properly fastened snow sports helmet during all events. This includes practice, inspection and competition.
- Scope it out. Visit us ahead of time to get the lay of the land.
- Know your limits (skill and ability levels) and stay within them. This isn’t the time to try something you’ve never done before.
